Terms of Use
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These terms govern the use of the Whatplay app and its website, provided by Veltrix Studios, the trade name of Iván Lozano Herrero (a self-employed sole trader), tax ID (NIF) 77836101F, with his address at Calle Flora, 4, 30626 Fortuna (Murcia), Spain (“Veltrix Studios”, “we” or “us”; email: soporte@whatplay.es; further details in the legal notice). By installing or using Whatplay, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. What Whatplay is
Whatplay is a media player: a tool for playing and organizing content that the user chooses and adds, such as their own videos, playlists in standard formats (M3U, W3U) and broadcasts they have legal access to.
- Whatplay does not include, host, sell, distribute or link to any content: no channels, movies, series or lists.
- Whatplay has no connection with those who create or publish the lists or content played with it, and does not endorse them.
- The app comes empty: without what each user adds, it plays nothing.
2. Legal use and user responsibility
You may only use Whatplay with content you have the right to watch and play. For example:
- your own content;
- content in the public domain or under licenses that allow it;
- free-to-air broadcasts offered by their rights holders;
- services you subscribe to from providers authorized to distribute that content in your country.
You are solely responsible for the lists, links, accounts and content you add, play or share with Whatplay, and for having the necessary authorizations. You may not use Whatplay:
- to access, reproduce, distribute or communicate to the public content protected by copyright or related rights without the authorization of the rights holders;
- to circumvent technological protection measures (such as DRM), access or geographic restrictions, or third-party payment systems;
- to rebroadcast or resell content, or to share lists or access to content that you do not have the right to share;
- for any unlawful purpose or any purpose contrary to these terms.
Whatplay does not include any feature for circumventing DRM or other protection measures. If you buy access to content from third parties, check that they are authorized distributors: services that offer pay channels or movies at abnormally low prices are usually illegal.
3. Third-party content and websites
We do not control or review the content, lists or third-party websites opened with Whatplay, and we are not responsible for them: for their legality, accuracy, availability or quality. The built-in browser shows third-party pages as they are, and each website has its own terms, which you must respect.
The names, logos and images shown in lists belong to their owners. Their appearance in the app does not imply any relationship with them.
4. Infringement notices
We respect intellectual property. Whatplay does not host third-party content, so it cannot remove it from other people’s lists or servers: such requests must be addressed to whoever publishes or hosts them. Even so, if you believe that something under our control (this website, the app’s store listing or Whatplay’s materials) infringes your rights, write to us at soporte@whatplay.es with:
- your details;
- the work concerned;
- exactly where it is;
- a statement of good faith.
We will review your notice and act diligently. This address is also our point of contact for authorities and users for the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act). You can write to us in Spanish or English.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Whatplay on your devices in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell or distribute the app, except to the extent expressly permitted by law. Whatplay, its name, its logo and its design belong to their owners.
6. Whatplay Premium and purchases
- What it includes: Premium removes ads from the app. It does not include any content.
- Plans and payment: monthly or yearly, at the price the store shows you before you pay. Payment is handled by the store (Google Play or another), through its account and under its terms.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it beforehand in the store (Google Play › Payments & subscriptions). If you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer, you may withdraw from your purchase of Premium within 14 calendar days of making it, without giving any reason, as provided by the Spanish consolidated General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users (TRLGDCU). Premium is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium: if, when you buy it, you expressly consent to its being activated immediately, acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal and receive confirmation of the purchase, you can no longer withdraw once it has been activated (Article 103(m) TRLGDCU). Where you can withdraw, do so by requesting a refund from the store or by writing to soporte@whatplay.es within the withdrawal period.
- Refunds and guarantee: refunds are processed through the store and in accordance with its policy, which may be more generous. None of this limits the legal guarantee of conformity that the TRLGDCU gives you if Premium does not work as described.
- Purchases from earlier versions: if you bought “remove ads” in an earlier version, you keep it; old subscriptions remain valid for as long as they last.
- Without subscribing: you can watch a video ad to get a period without ads. This is a benefit with no monetary value, and we may change it.
7. Sync accounts
Sync is optional and uses your Google or Apple account. You are responsible for its security. You can sign out and delete the copy at any time from the app. We may suspend this service if it is used abusively or in breach of these terms.
8. Availability and changes
Whatplay is provided “as is”. We work to make it run well, but we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, or with every format, device or piece of content. We may update, change or remove features. Some updates may be required to keep using the app.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veltrix Studios is not liable for:
- third-party content or the use you make of Whatplay;
- indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profits;
- damages caused by use contrary to these terms or to the law.
Nothing above limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer, or our liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for personal injury.
10. Indemnity
If you use Whatplay unlawfully or contrary to these terms (for example, to access content without authorization), you agree to hold Veltrix Studios harmless from any third-party claims arising from that use, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Suspension
If you breach these terms, we may limit or suspend the services that depend on us (for example, Apple sync or notifications), without prejudice to any other legal action.
12. Governing law, jurisdiction and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law.
If you are a consumer, any dispute will be heard by the courts of your place of residence, in accordance with the TRLGDCU, and you retain in all cases the protection afforded to you by the mandatory rules of the EU country in which you live. Nothing in these terms deprives you of the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
If you are not a consumer, the parties submit to the courts of the place where Veltrix Studios is domiciled.
If you have a complaint, write to us at soporte@whatplay.es and we will try to resolve it amicably. You can also contact the consumer services of your region or town. Veltrix Studios is not a member of the Spanish Consumer Arbitration System (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) or of any other alternative dispute resolution body.
13. Changes to these terms
We may modify these terms. We will publish the new version here with its date and, if the change is significant, we will let you know in the app. If you continue to use Whatplay afterwards, you accept the new terms.
14. Contact and data deletion
If you have any questions, write to us at soporte@whatplay.es (or, for matters not related to Whatplay, at contacto@veltrixstudios.net). To ask us to delete your data, use the “Request data deletion” button on this page. You can also delete your sync copy from the app, in Settings › Sync.
